Kristie - IBC Warrior

twinkling star image

Kristie was diagnosed on December 29, 2006 at the age of 42.

Kristie

My best friend since childhood was diagnosed with IBC on Friday, December 29, 2006.

In August of 2006 Kris' left breast began to feel full and swollen. After five doctors and (3) month long stints on antibiotics she finally met with a doctor who suspected IBC and ordered a biopsy on December 18th. On December 29th we received the devastating results.

On Tuesday January 2nd a chemo-port was surgically placed in her breast, and on January 4th I held her hand through her first chemo treatment.

If you could offer me any info on IBC or your hopes and prayers, please e-mail me.

Thank You,

Kelly

Bring on the Rain

Another day has almost come and gone
Can’t imagine what else could go wrong

Sometimes I’d like to hide away somewhere
and lock the door
A single battle lost but not the war (‘cause)

Tomorrow’s another day
And I’m thirsty anyway
So bring on the rain

It’s almost like the hard times circle ‘round
A couple drops, and they all start coming down

Yeah, I might feel defeated,
I might hang my head
I might be barely breathing - but I’m not dead

Tomorrow’s another day
And I’m thirsty anyway
So bring on the rain

I’m not gonna let it get me down
I’m not gonna cry
And I’m not gonna lose any sleep tonight
